Hi everyone,
Even though we had a beautiful winter here, I think we are all ready for some new, spring-fresh energy.
I'm grateful that I was able to gaze out on a peaceful, snowy meadow this winter. It helped remind me of the beauty that nature holds for us in all seasons. And... I'm excited to be sharing what I've been working on over the winter while I counted snowflakes!
I'm delighted to be a Certified Trainer for Peaceful Heart Nework's F.A.S.T. (First Aid for Stress and Trauma) and will be offering trainings online and locally.
And!!! I finally rebuilt my website (www.georgiehunt.com) and have put together some new classes and programs. I'm so grateful for my connections to a large community that is sharing wisdom of how we can navigate these trying times. We continually support and inspire each other to slow down and sprinkle some intentional self care practices throughout our day. This has nourished and nurtured me throught this winter.
I hope you are all holding yourselves and loved ones in compassion and care. I invite you to join in any offerings that feel like they can help you find new ways to care for yourselves, your families and your communities.
I'm honoured to share what has brought me great comfort with you.

Some Food For Thought

I've been thinking about this alot lately. Here are some words of wisdom shared by Thom Hartmann, Author, Journalist, Radio Host.
Let this idea sit with you. How does it want to appear in your life?
"If our thoughts shape reality, even slightly, then prayer is not merely a comfort—it’s a responsibility.
What we focus on matters. What we send into the world—our fear or our faith, our judgment or our compassion—may affect more than we know.
This does not mean we can magically manifest parking spots or lottery numbers.
It means that consciousness is participatory, not passive. We are co-creators of the world we experience.
This is not wishful thinking. It is, increasingly, the sober implication of modern physics.
In times of injustice, prayer is more than piety. It’s resistance.”
- Thom Hartmann

Take a Few More Steps on the Journey from Surviving to Thriving
If I asked you to think of a place where you felt calm, relaxed and welcome, what would that place be? For me it's the hammock in my Mom's back yard. It's summer and I'm enjoying the shade of a maple tree I have known all my life. I love this place so much and even though I have not been there physically for more than 40 years, it remains as a vibrant memory that comes alive when I think of it. This brings a lovely reminder that I CAN choose to cultivate calm in my mind and body.

Begin your transformation from surviving to thriving with this foundational 3-session program. Cultivate Calm offers a safe and supportive space to reconnect with your inner resources, regulate your nervous system, and gently release patterns of overwhelm, freeze, or fatigue.
